ABB RR Series

Introduced by Brown Boveri (BBC / ABB) in 1968, the RR Series of turbochargers was engineered for high-speed, compact 4-stroke diesel engines. It features a unique dual radial configuration and inboard fluid-film plain bearings, delivering an excellent power-to-weight ratio.

To meet high global demand, these systems were also manufactured under license in Japan by IHI Corporation. This partnership produced thousands of highly durable units widely used in marine gensets, locomotives, and industrial power plants.
